These sites are open to the public and provide a rustic outdoor atmosphere. Typically, they come equipped with basic facilities such as toilets and showers, along with access to picnic areas and scenic viewpoints. Camping permits can be acquired from the park authorities. Accessing Lake Nakuru National Park by road involves driving from Nairobi to the park’s entry gates, such as the main gate near Nakuru town or the Lanet gate from the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
Consequently, the optimal time to observe flamingos at Lake Nakuru within Lake Nakuru National Park is during July, August, September, December, January, and February.
However, flamingos can still be seen in significant numbers throughout the rest of the year.
