Channel Service Planner, AppleCare Sunnyvale, California, United States Operations and Supply Chain Overview AppleCare is the service division of Apple that provides after‑sales service, repair, and support to customers. The role requires a highly analytical, motivated individual with a strong channel planning background in a fast‑paced, high‑product‑mix environment. The Channel Service Planner leads channel inventory planning, analyzes demand trends, and manages stock replenishment for retail stores, authorized service providers, repair centers, and enterprise service engagements. Responsibilities Responsible for a variety of service planning channels and product lines to achieve best‑in‑class fill rates and inventory metrics. Lead the deployment of new products into all managed channels per guidance from product readiness teams. Lead implementation of solutions by facilitating discussion with cross‑functional teams to achieve a cohesive end‑to‑end channel service strategy. Optimize the planning process, elements, and framework, collaborating with partners and driving improvement on planning productivity and channel inventory optimization through business insight. Provide insight to the channel planning and material planning teams to ensure adequate supply, and communicate shortages to channel partners. Onboard new partners from a service‑supply‑chain perspective. Support channel expansion, project roll‑out and impact including channel front and back‑end operation and material positioning solutions. Work collaboratively to ensure channel fill rate is at or above prescribed targets, minimize stock‑outs and reduce inventory returns through proactive communication and target stock level adjustment. Coordinate the quarterly inventory buyback process in partnership with the logistics team. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in channel planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, or supply‑chain management. Solid understanding of world‑class supply‑chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, strong leadership skills, and business savvy. Effective in communication, influencing, and negotiation in a matrix organization, including one‑on‑one, small and large groups, and with peers and executives. Ability to think strategically and implement tactically, with persistent attention to detail and comfort running large data sets and conducting ad hoc analysis, blending quantitative and qualitative data. Experience with cross‑functional collaboration to achieve outstanding customer service in a complex, fast‑paced environment. Consistent track record in delivering on operational KPI’s while leading projects and initiatives and a sense of priority and urgency to meet deadlines from different partners. High proficiency in Excel and ability to learn technical applications quickly. BA/BS or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of experience in channel planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, or supply‑chain management. Master’s degree in a related field. Experience with reporting tools such as Business Objects, Tableau, or similar tools. AI/ML related experience is a plus. Pay & Benefits Base pay range: $113,600 – $214,100.
