Job Description: Are you an experienced and skilled veterinary assistant passionate about providing exceptional care to pets and their families? We are brand new state-of- the-art Daytime Veterinary Urgent Care Hospital in Pasadena, CA. We are seeking a dedicated veterinary assistant to join our dynamic and welcoming team. In this role, you’ll help assist our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical care while ensuring a compassionate and efficient experience for our clients. Key Responsibilities, but not limited to: Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures. Perform technical tasks, including: Patient Restraint. Administering medications. Collecting diagnostic samples (e.g., blood, urine, feces). Taking radiographs and performing laboratory tests. Triage incoming patients and provide initial assessments. Monitor patients during treatment or recovery. Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' care and treatment plans. Keep hospital environment neat and clean, on top of weekly duties perform regular cleaning daily. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Veterinary Clinic, Animal Hospital, or Animal ER/Urgent Care setting is a plus Proficiency in technical skills such as restraint, sample collection, and patient monitoring. Ability to lift up to 40lbs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Passion for animals and a commitment to compassionate care. Familiarity with veterinary practice management software is a plus.
