Job Description

A Glimpse of Your Day

We are excited to announce that we are seeking six dedicated Active Part Assemblers to become integral members of our team supporting a new project in the Power Transformers manufacturing facility. This entry-level role is essential for boosting production capacity for large power transformers, focusing on two key areas: hands-on assembly and unwavering adherence to quality and safety protocols. Your contributions will directly impact our production targets while maintaining high standards in a high-voltage manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have a foundational understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and a strong commitment to quality. While previous experience in a technical or manufacturing setting is advantageous, we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • 60% Active Part Assembly & Connections
    • Assemble core, windings, insulation, and other components to create the active part of large power transformers, following engineering drawings and work instructions.
    • Secure electrical connections through techniques such as brazing and crimping, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
    • Safely operate material handling equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts, to manage large, heavy components.
    • Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices to complete assembly tasks precisely.
  • 40% Quality & Safety Compliance
    • Conduct in-process quality inspections and measurements to confirm that all assembly work meets the required quality control standards.
    • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including electrical safety procedures and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • Document completed work, report any deviations or non-conformities to the team lead, and assist in continuous improvement efforts.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S principles.

Your Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • An Associate's Degree or technical certificate in Electrical Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical environment is desirable.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with electrical applications, schematics, and high voltages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Quality & Continuous Improvement Processes is advantageous.
