Wellness Director
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Wellness Director to lead and enhance the wellness and health programs at our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of geriatric care, and a passion for promoting the well-being of our residents.
1. Program Development: Design, implement, and evaluate wellness programs that address the physical, mental, and emotional health needs of residents.
2. Resident Care Coordination: Oversee the development and monitoring of personalized care plans, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
3. Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of wellness professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to foster a motivated and capable staff.
4. Health Assessment:Conduct comprehensive health assessments for new residents and regularly review ongoing health and wellness plans.
5. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with healthcare providers, families, and residents to ensure open communication and continuity of care.
6. Education & Training: Organize and present educational workshops for residents and staff on topics such as nutrition, fitness, and health management.
7. Quality Assurance:*Monitor the effectiveness of wellness services and make necessary adjustments to improve the quality of care and resident satisfaction.
8. Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all wellness programs and services meet local, state, and federal health regulations and standards.
- Proven experience in a healthcare or assisted living environment, with a focus on wellness or health services.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in assisted living and long-term care facilities.
- Advanced certification in geriatric care or wellness coaching along with assistance with med administration certificate.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to create a positive environment that encourages resident engagement and active participation in wellness programs.
