Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Shipping and Receiving Specialist who will be responsible for managing and coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments. This role requires attention to detail in verifying shipment contents, preparing shipping documents, tracking shipments, and ensuring accurate inventory records using an ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and checking for any damage or discrepancies.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
• Track and trace shipments, providing regular status updates to management and customer service representatives.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries efficiently.
• Handle materials, including unloading trucks, sorting and stocking received items, and loading outgoing freight using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Manage inventory records using software systems to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to company safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in inventory management and shipping/receiving processes.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Bilingual proficiency, with Spanish being preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with order selection processes.
• Strong communication skills.

Work Environment

The work environment is a ventilated warehouse setting. The schedule is Monday through Friday during PM hours, requiring comfort with a dynamic and fast-paced atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Miami,FL.
