About the Role:
As a Teen L.I.F.E Coach, you will be part of a dedicated team that guides teens through pivotal moments of their lives. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in behavioral health, mentorship, interpersonal skills, and family-style treatment - skills that are valuable in any career, especially for those pursuing mental health licenses and degrees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to teens in daily activities, promoting positive behaviors, relationship-building, and personal growth.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans and ensure consistency of care.
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops on life skills, coping strategies, and effective communication.
- Participate in daily routines with students, such as shared meals, activities, chores, and outings to promote a supportive, family-style environment.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Promote our core values of dignity, positivity, excellence, stewardship, and helpfulness in all interactions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Emotional resilience and dedication to supporting youth through their challenges.
- Reliability and availability to work evenings and weekends.
- At least 21 years old
- Be capable of performing physical restraints if necessary. Although they are rarely used we require all employees be trained to ensure the safety of our youth
- Have, and be willing to provide proof of, a high school diploma/GED
- Have a valid drivers license
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check
Preferred:
- Experience in coaching, mentorship, teaching, healthcare, or related fields (e.g., CNA, autism specialist, teacher, youth counselor).
- Relevant coursework or certifications in psychology, social work, education, or counseling.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Wage: Starting at $18/hr.
- Overtime: Consistent full time hours, opportunities for overtime, double time holidays
