As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Driver in Butner, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, and you will use your training, teamwork, and integrity to provide strong customer service while reporting activity and assisting staff and visitors as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a government corrections location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with post orders, applicable laws, and Allied Universal policies while supporting security-related operations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site staff and/or responding public agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, grounds, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Complete required reports and logs, communicate noteworthy events through approved channels, and support access control activities such as monitoring entry points and verifying authorization.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
