Position Overview Director of Sales – Cox Business (CB) – managing sales growth across Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Cleveland, Ohio markets. Hybrid role: remote work part of the week with 25% travel. Compensation Base salary: $132,800 – $199,200 annually. Annual incentive/commission target: $64,152. Primary Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of Sales Managers to achieve revenue growth and expand customer base nationwide. Develop and implement effective sales strategies for network solutions and managed services. Maintain fully staffed sales team across specified markets and lead all outside sales functions to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and retention. Support customer retention, acquisition, and community advocacy. Set sales targets, forecast accurately, and provide regular performance reports to senior management. On‑board, coach, and develop new and existing sales representatives, fostering a high‑performance culture. Serve as subject‑matter expert on customer sales and resolve escalated issues. Participate in training and stay current on technical knowledge of Cox products and services. Represent Cox in community events, chambers of commerce, and other local councils. Collaborate with sales partners, marketing, and other Cox departments to optimize the sales funnel and drive revenue growth. Coordinate with the Director of Inside Sales to manage lead flow and cross‑team alignment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years sales experience (other combinations such as Master’s degree with 8 years, Ph.D. with 5 years, or 14 years experience without formal degree accepted). 5+ years sales management experience. 5+ years business‑to‑business consultative sales experience. Proficiency with Windows PCs, Microsoft Office. Valid driver’s license with good driving record and reliable transportation. Strong relationship‑building, coaching, and communication skills.
