On Call Banquet Server

We are seeking a dynamic on call Banquet Server to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest with a smile and maintain eye contact
• Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
• Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
• Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the company's standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
• Demonstrate expert understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest.
• Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically coordinate guest food and beverage orders
• Assist coworkers in any task necessary to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkers
• Possess expert knowledge of all food and beverage aspects of the event
• Set up tables, serve food and beverages to guests, courteously and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet work area and equipment
• Attend all pre-function meetings required to ensure events flow smoothly
• Service all aspects of the banquet operation in accordance with all departmental and hotel standards
• Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests
• Read and execute specifications listed in the Banquet Event Order

• Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested

Core Competencies

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Collaborative spirit

• Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS
• Positive Attitude
• Eye for Detail
• Problem solving abilities
