Job Title: Clinical Document Improvement Specialist

Experience: - Minimum of 5 years recent hospital acute care experience and/or verifiable documentation improvement experience required - Experience in EMR environment required
License: - Bachelor's degree required - Bachelor's in Nursing preferred - RN, NP, PA, or trained physician background required
Certifications: - Knowledge of regulatory and third-party requirements as they relate to documentation improvement rehabilitation improvement required - Knowledge of 3M Encoder preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
Must-Have: - Must reside in New York or the tristate area - COVID-19 vaccine required; medical exemptions only - Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed
Description: This is a remote position. The candidate will be responsible for documentation improvement. Experience in an acute care hospital setting is essential. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements for documentation is crucial. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) is a must. The position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of documentation improvement practices is necessary. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication skills. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is expected.
