Colorado International Language Academy (CILA) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Middle School Chinese (Mandarin) Teacher for the 202627 school year. This position supports students as they develop Mandarin language proficiency and cultural understanding in an immersive environment.

This is a part-time position, approximately 3 hours per day, with the potential to increase to up to 6 hours per day as enrollment grows.

CILA is a tuition-free public charter school offering language immersion in Spanish, Mandarin, and German. This Mandarin-language position plays a key role in fostering bilingualism, biliteracy, and global competence within a diverse school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Chinese (Mandarin) Language and Culture aligned with Colorado Academic Standards and CILA curriculum
• Deliver instruction primarily in Mandarin to support language immersion
• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate middle school lessons
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback
• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and administration
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and expectations
• Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide events

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree required
• Colorado teaching license preferred but not required
  
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese required (native or near-native proficiency preferred)
• Experience teaching middle school students preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support a range of learning needs
• Commitment to collaboration, reflection, and continuous improvement
• Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural, language immersion environment

Salary & Benefits:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Benefits eligibility may vary based on scheduled hours.
