Summary Experienced CAD Designer responsible for creating intermediate to complex jewelry pieces in Rhino, translating design concepts into producible CAD models and working closely with design and production teams. This role is based in Tribeca, New York and requires strong technical knowledge of jewelry construction and mechanisms. Responsibilities Create intermediate pieces from start to finish with limited supervision and follow team processes and aesthetics. Develop complex projects and forms with minimal direction and refine stone settings, clasps, linkages, and other mechanisms. Provide input on timelines and production techniques; split and prepare models for various manufacturing processes. Review vendor CAD files for technical viability and deliver clear technical feedback to partners. Requirements Minimum 5-7 years of CAD experience specific to jewelry; proficient in Rhino. Knowledge of complex jewelry construction and properties of precious and non-precious metals. Ability to create solid, workable polysurface files and modify or repair mesh objects. Working knowledge of hinges, clasps, and other mechanisms; experience with rapid prototyping and sculpting software a plus.
